Craft: Moon and Stars Mobile
This week's craft was based on the picture at left.  The children were given a cloud, moon, and four star cutouts to color.  They then tied the moon and stars to the cloud with yarn to turn into a mobile.

Literacy Extensions:
- Bedtime stories is a great way to end the day with your child.  Make it a tradition in your family to read a story or two before bedtime.
- Practice counting by trying to see how many stars your child can count in the night sky.

Dinosaur vs. Mommy by Bob Shea *

Craft: Paper Plate Clock
This week's craft was based on the picture at left.  The main difference is that I printed out a template clock face that the children could color, write the hour numbers in circles, and then glue to the paper plate.  They then added the clock hands with a brad.

Literacy Extensions:
- Use the paper plate clock craft to talk about what you do at different times of the day.  Have your child move the hands to different times and then ask them what they do at that time.
- This would be a great time to learn about hours, days, weeks, and months.
