Craft: X is for X-Ray Fish
- Print template on heavy paper or cardstock
- Cut out pieces (fish body, X bones)
- Color pieces
- Glue bones onto fish in center of body for skeleton



Extension Activities:
- Get outside and go on a walk.
- Make a treasure map with your child.  Have them hide a treasure in the house and then draw a simple map of the house with path and an X marking where the treasure is hidden.
- Go on a scavenger hunt to see how many things you can find that are the color yellow.
- Visit the zoo and make sure to see the zebras!

Craft: V is for Vulture
- Print out template on heavy paper or cardstock
- Color pieces of vulture (V body, head, feet)
- Cut out pieces
- Using scissors, make small snips along outer sides of V for feathers
- Glue feet at bottom of V body
- Glue head as shown in picture





Extension Activities:
- Play a game of Twister.  It is a great way to teach colors, left/right, and following directions.
- Do some drawing with the letter.  See what all they can turn a "U" into (i.e. umbrella, cup, etc.)
- During a trip to a grocery store, ask your child to identify the different vegetables they see in the produce area.

Craft: S is for Seahorse
- Draw the pieces of your seahorse (S body, trapezoid fin, and triangle "spikes")
- Cut out pieces
- Color pieces
- Glue fin to lower back inside curve of S body
- Glue spikes along back of seahorse's head and inside tail
- Draw on an eye




Extension Activities:
- Practice putting on shoes and tying shoelaces.
- Have a letter S scavenger hunt with your child where you try to find things that start with the letter S (i.e. sun, stamp, smile, string, etc.)

Craft: R is for Robot
- Print out template
- Cut out pieces
- Glue chestplate to top center square of R body
- Glue arms to sides of body
- Glue head to top of body




Extension Activities:
- Have fun with rhymes.  Ask your child to come up with words that rhyme with the ones you give.
- Make a Name Rocket.  Cut out squares for your child to write their name -- one letter to each square.  Glue on a piece of paper in the correct order to spell their name.  Cut out a triangle to glue to the top.  Draw on stars and other decorations.
