Craft: Cupcake Magnet
- Print cupcake template and cut out.
- Decorate cupcake with crayons, sparkles, etc.
- Stick magnet onto back of cupcake.





Extension Activities:
- Make a dessert together with your child using a simple recipe (i.e. chocolate chip cookies, brownies, ice cream sundae, etc.)
- This week's story is all about cause and effect.  "Write" a story with your child by giving them the prompt "If you give a ____ a ____".

- Print out image at left onto heavy paper
- Color picture
- Cut on straight lines to get 20 puzzle pieces










Extension Activities:
- Pick an animal to learn more about.  Check out an informational book from the library about that animal.
- Play a game of animal charades.  Guess what animals are being acted out.
- Visit the zoo.

- Visit a car or transportation museum to see the different vehicles.

Craft: Monster Hug
- Print out a monster template and cut out
- Color monster
- Cut out and accordian fold two strips of paper for arms
- Glue cut out hearts to one end of paper strips and other end of paper strips to the monster's body




Extension Activities:
- Make a card or "write" a letter to send to your grandparents for Grandparents Day (2nd Sunday of September).
- Ask your child to give you "directions" for getting to grandma or grandpa's house.
