Family Story Time: I Really Want to See You Grandma -- 5/31/22

Story Times are held weekly on Monday and Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am and Tuesday evenings at 6:00 pm.  Online Story Times will be posted weekly on Tuesday mornings.  (The video is available to watch for one week before a new one is uploaded.)

Craft: Family Tree
- Print out template on heavy paper or cardstock
- Color tree sheet
- Color leaves and cut out
- Write family member's names of leaves
- Glue leaves to tree






Extension Activities:
- With your child, plan a trip to see family.  Discuss transportation needed, directions, supplies, etc.
- Look at family photos with your child.  See if they can identify the various family members.

Building Block 2013 Nominees Story Time: September 30, October 1, 2013

Books:
Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons by Eric Litwin *
Who's Who? by Ken Geist *

Craft Activity: Button Necklace
Children colored five buttons that were cut out from cardstock.  They were then strung onto curling ribbon to make a necklace.

Literacy Extensions:
- Do a color separating activity such as separating different colored buttons into piles.
- Practice simple math while eating a snack -- i.e. count how many fruit snacks you have versus how many of different colors, etc.
