Mysteries in the Stacks: The Shark Detective -- 5/7/24

Story Times are held weekly on Monday and Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am. A monthly virtual Story Time is posted the first Tuesday of the month on the library's Facebook page.  It is available to view for one month before the next video is posted.

Craft:  Shark
- Print template onto cardstock or heavy paper
- Cut out pieces (body, flippers, fin)
- Color pieces
- Glue flippers to sides of body
- Fold fin in half and then on the dotted lines 
- Glue fin to top of shark's body


Extension Activities:
- One of the tools used by detectives is a magnifying glass.  Have your child "play" with a magnifying glass to see fine details of objects.  Use binoculars if you don't have a magnifying glass.
- Check out an I Spy book from the library.  Have your child search for specific items in the pictures.

Craft: Baby Shark
- Kids colored the shark's head and body before gluing together to make Baby Shark.







Extension Activities:
- Make Shark Socks out of a pair of white socks using fabric paint or markers. Visit Tutorial: DIY Shark Socks » Dollar Store Crafts for directions.
- Enjoy a shark snack by eating Shark Teeth (or Bugles).
