Craft: Kid in Bathtub
The children were given a half sheet with a tub on it to color and a die cut person. After both were colored, the person was slipped into the slit cut along top rim of bathtub.
Literacy Extensions:
- Use the book Bath Time to practice counting. Have your child count how many toys were put into the tub in the book.
- Have some bubble fun after reading this books. Either purchase bubble solution or make your own with dish soap and water.

Good Night Story Time: March 27-28, 2017
Books:
Bubble Bath Pirates by Jarrett Krosoczka *
Dinosaur vs. Bedtime by Bob Shea
Let's Sing a Lullaby with the Brave Cowboy by Jan Thomas *
Mitchell's License by Hallie Durand
Naked! by Michael Ian Black *
Craft: Moon and Stars Mobile
This week's craft was based on the picture at left. The children were given a cloud, moon, and four star cutouts to color. They then tied the moon and stars to the cloud with yarn to turn into a mobile.
Literacy Extensions:
- Bedtime stories is a great way to end the day with your child. Make it a tradition in your family to read a story or two before bedtime.
- Practice counting by trying to see how many stars your child can count in the night sky.

Pirate Story Time: November 30-December 1, 2015

The Pirate Who Said Please by Timothy Knapman *
Craft: Pirate Parrot
This week we made a parrot with a pirate's hat. The children colored the cardstock pieces and then glued them together. (Template below)

- Use the book The Pirate Who Said Please to introduce good manners to your child. The book contains a page at the end with discussion questions on manners for kids.
