Building Block Award Winners -- 9/3/24

Story Times are held weekly on Monday and Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am. A monthly virtual Story Time is posted the first Tuesday of the month on the library's Facebook page.  It is available to view for one month before the next video is posted.

Craft: Bad Dog (Cat)
- Print template onto cardstock or heavy paper
- Cut out pieces (body, head, tail) and color
- Fold body in half along dotted line to make a triangle
- Glue tail (backwards) along left side dotted line on front of triangle
- Fold over small triangle onto tail so that cat will stand
- Glue head to top point of triangle body


Extension Activities:
- After reading I'm Terrified of Bath Time, have your child come up with "scared" stories for other common household items (ex - couch, food, etc.).
- Visit a local animal shelter to visit with the animals.  See if they will let you volunteer time "reading" to the dogs and cats.

Craft: Shark
- Fold a small paper plate in half and color as shark's body making sure to draw on mouth and eyes
- Cut out a fin and tail from heavy paper or cardstock and color
- Glue fin to top fold of paper plate and tail to back to complete shark

- Learn more about sharks by checking out a nonfiction children's book from the library or visiting an aquarium.
